Welcome to Our Home

After a grueling 12 hours+ on cramped,vibrating planes, sitting in the back of the cab on the way to our new home was a welcome relief. Our amazing driver, Gene O’Sullivan, regaled us with wonderful stories; it’s too bad I was too exhausted to remember most of them.  I was grateful for his driving skills, as Irish driving is white-knuckle insane. The roads we were on were quaint and beautiful, but the speed limit seems to be 100 km or more…no matter the road!

When I’m more wakeful I post stories and photos about the beautiful Beara Peninsula. In the meantime please enjoy these first sneak peeks. The photo above is the road to Droum Woods, the photo below is the open gate to our cottage.
